Tammi's been in town for a few days, so we've been making the usual rounds: Brite Spot, beach, Bang! Also included was chicken pho at Gingergrass with free shrimp chips and basil raspberry-swirled ice cream.

Spent today at the flea market, unable to resist cheap used book sales: Love in the Time of Cholera and A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius for $8, along with a vintage Chinese cigarette poster I'm thinking of using as an eventual prop. Jessica and I went to Starbucks, washed my car, and lazed around in Echo Park like the frivolous youngsters that we are.

Despite my dying of a relentless SARS-like cough over the past week, it's been a lot of fun. Now, to figure out how to while away August before school roars up again...
